Product Review – Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

For those of you who saw my retail therapy post, you know I just bought Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioner. I used it for the first time yesterday, and I am already in love. My hair was noticeably softer and shinier, and it felt healthier after just one use. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but for me, it’s completely worth it, especially since I only wash my hair every other day. I bought a smaller bottle of conditioner than I did shampoo, because I don’t condition my hair as often as I wash it; I always feel like it gets too greasy if I condition it too often.

I will warn you, it smells very minty, and the smell is very strong. My husband has very sensitive skin, and I think it was too much for him, because his scalp started to burn a little. I felt bad, but that just means more for me, right? The smell didn’t bother me at all, but I’m not as sensitive to things like that as he is, and I like minty smells. I know that can be an issue for some people, though. However, if you’re looking to up your hair care routine and you don’t think this would be a problem for you, I highly recommend trying this Paul Mitchell shampoo. It came very highly recommended to me by some family members, as well as my hair stylist, and I have to say, they were totally right.

I bought my set at Ulta, and the shampoo was around $19 for the medium sized bottle, and the conditioner was around $12 for the small bottle, which was about 10 oz. I also had a 20% off coupon at Ulta, so I paid a little less than that. I have also included the link to the pair below, so you can buy it on Amazon, if you’re like me and like to avoid going to stores any chance you get. Let me know if you try it and what you think!
